The team at Greyfriars will be supporting, and raising money for Business Beats Cancer again in 2024.

Last year, thanks to the generous support of many of our business partners and family members, our team raised £4,300 when we completed the 7 Hills Challenge. We hiked the 7 Hills of Edinburgh covering 22 kilometres in distance and 600m in elevation. It was a real push for the team to complete.

While our challenge only lasted one day, the incredible work of Cancer Research UK continues all year round. The money raised last year helped to fund scientific research and clinical trials, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure.

Unfortunately, in some way or another cancer touches all of us, and doubtless we all have our own stories. In the UK, while treatments advance and recoveries increase still, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer every two minutes. Each diagnosis is unique and impacts an expanding circle of family and friends. Notwithstanding the progress that has been made in care and treatment, cancer remains a personal and pressing matter, and there is always more to be done.

With such an incredible cause, the entire Greyfriars team has again signed up to take on The Seven Hills Challenge on the 30th of August.

Some of the team will also be attending Business Beats Cancer’s Annual Fundraising Dinner on the 9th of May at Prestonfield House. This is another opportunity to raise support and funds for the work of Cancer Research UK.
