Edinburgh-based leading payment orchestrator, BR-DGE, has announced its partnership with a global leader in open banking solutions, Trustly. This collaboration integrates BR-DGE’s global platform into Trustly’s open banking capabilities, which processed $58 billion in transaction value in 2023.

The integration aims to enhance convenience, reduce costs, and improve checkout conversion rates for merchants. Trustly will also benefit from access to BR-DGE’s diverse ecosystem, supporting industries like travel, digital goods, and retail. A major gaming customer of BR-DGE will be the first to implement the new integration later this year.

Commenting on the partnership, Tom Voaden, Head of Partnerships at BR-DGE, said:

We’re focused on building the technology, connections and relationships that deliver measurable value for the whole payment ecosystem. Our partnership with Trustly is another example of exactly this, empowering merchants and payment providers to easily leverage best-in-class solutions – in this case, open banking technology – to deliver enhanced customer experiences and drive profitability.

Olof Wirfelt, Chief Commercial Officer at Trustly Europe commented:

“BR-DGE stands out as one of Europe’s most promising payment orchestration platforms, known for its excellent product and strong team. We are excited to partner with BR-DGE as one of the first open banking payment providers on their platform, confident that our superior account-to-account payments and data products will significantly benefit their customers.

Led by CEO Thomas Gillan, BR-DGE’s platform is redefining the payments ecosystem, enabling merchants and payment providers to tackle their toughest payment challenges. BR-DGE continues to go from strength to strength following a record year of growth in 2023.

The team at Greyfriars congratulate BR-DGE on their commercial milestone and look forward to following BR-DGE’s continual progress within the payment orchestration sector.
